Back from Otakon. How ’bout that fire drill, huh?

I’m still stranded in New Jersey with only my netbook for another two weeks, although there is one more comic update on the way (ohhhhh~~~ yaoi~~~~~).

Unfortunately I have $2 left in my bank account after my magical animu-filled weekend.

SO LET’S PLAY A GAME and make sure Pana has money to feed herself for these remaining two weeks.

Here is the game. Are you ready?

YOU:

1) donate $9 using the button on the left
2) specify a Machine Flower character’s NAME in your donation notes
3) also specify a PROMPT WORD (any word you want) in your donation notes

I:

1) will eat a meal happily
2) sketch this character you desire in some scenario related to said prompt word
3) post it here for you with a little love note for everyone to enjoy together

Example:

If you donate and write “Extra #4, boxers” I will perhaps draw Extra #4 wearing boxers as a bra.

This game is fun and you want to play it. OKAY GO.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT! It’s time to get back to drawing comic pages, so I can’t accept any more sketches for now. Of course I’ll be finishing the queue including everyone who has ALREADY donated, but as of August 25 further requests are CLOSED. Thanks for playing!

Vincent : “Sexy”

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

The first donation sketch ever:

Vincent : Sexy

Dearest Raine,

Thank you for buying me food. I ate something yummy just as you ordered.

Here is your sexy Vincent sans pomade. I think he looks like he could use something to eat also. I may have been projecting. Anyway, please enjoy him. He loves you just as much as I do, even if he’s tsundere about it.

A thousand thanks,
Pana

One : “Park”

Monday, August 16th, 2010

The second donation sketch:

Dear Ketira,

Thank you for feeding me and other starving artists! Your generosity keeps us alive.

No really, it does.

Here is Laye in the park, as requested. Trust me, the park is there, even if you only see a bench. She’s got galoshes on so I think it just rained. Which means the bench is probably soggy, but she doesn’t care since she’s Laye. After posing for you here, I believe she went to go roll in some mud.

Not so starving anymorely yours,
Pana

Three : “Ducks”

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

The third donation sketch:

Dear Ben,

I’m sorry I haven’t gotten Chinese food yet. I’ll fix that as soon as I’m feeling better. Because you feed me so often, though, I will honor my promise.

I hope rubber ducks are sufficiently ducky. This whole time I’ve been wondering, “Why ducks?” But I think the answer is, “This is a Ben request.” You should know my sister (on whom Three is based) approves of the Three+ducks combination, however.

Pretty much your art slave by now,
Pana

Curse these seasonal changes.

Just a quick update for anyone that missed it on twitter… I’ve been horribly ill and bedridden for a couple of weeks now but I seem to be recovering steadily so I think we can expect some updates this week.

I love you all! I haven’t forgotten you!! ♥♥

…Sorry for that accidental cliffhanger.

Oh hello again. It’s really been some time, hasn’t it?

I thought I should speak up. There was some concern I’ve been cheating on Machine Flower with another comic. No no, let me assure you, Machine Flower is my only ongoing webcomic at the moment. The update delays have been caused by entirely personal events about which I could go into detail but I’m sure no one wants to be depressed.

Anyway, I’ve not given up on my baby and I don’t anticipate further delays. As you’ve surmised from the new banner, the current update schedule is once-a-week. This is because I am beginning work on prints and doujinshi for the con season. Eventually I’ll switch back to two updates per week, but I don’t want to bite off more than I can chew. Since I’ve been, you know, already choking.

Otakon 2011 Artist Alley

Thursday, July 28th, 2011

Hey guys! I’m alive! And I’ll be at Otakon this weekend with a pile of Machine Flower posters! Come visit me at N10-11, okay? I’m the one with green hair.

As for the comic, I’ll be off hiatus and back to posting pages in a couple of weeks, as soon as I’m reunited with my sweet, sweet computer.

I am returned.

Hi everyone hi!

I’m still recovering from my travels up and down the east coast. It was great meeting so many of you at Otakon! It’s really overwhelming meeting readers face-to-face, because you know I have no concept of how many people read this comic, so it was amazing to meet you guys in person. If I seemed a bit like a deer in headlights, it’s just that I was overcome with feelings. I love you all!

And for those of you who didn’t make it out to Otakon, I’ve still got some leftover artwork for sale here. There isn’t a whole lot of Machine Flower stuff left, so you should probably order quickly if you want it. These prints are higher quality than what you’ll get from the Zazzle store, I have to say. My printer is badass by printer standards.

I don’t have another con lined up for a long time yet, but pages are back on a regular release schedule. Celebration! See you on Friday!

See you in 2012.

Holidays have been more chaotic than expected, considering I didn’t even have to leave home this year. Anyway, there will be a page this week, but it’ll probably be up on Sunday. Hopefully you’ve all been partying so hard you didn’t even notice my absence.
